Spring League Fines and Fees
2024-2025 CDYSL Spring League GAME Related Fees and Fines

● $150 per team
Note: This fee is refundable if a team withdraws before February 28. 2025.
● Teams withdrawn after February 28th will forfeit their team commitment fee of $150 and be assessed an additional $250 fine.
● Teams withdrawn after March 31st will forfeit their team commitment fee of $150 and be assessed an additional $500 fine.
Late Player Registration Fines
● Teams that fail to have the entire player registrations for their team ientered into GotSport n by February 28, 2025 will be fined $50/team per week. This fine will increase by $50 each week that registration remains outstanding. (week 1 $50, week 2 $100, week 3 $150, week 4$200) This fine will be accessed for a maximum of 4 weeks.
● Any team whose registration is not in the office as of April 4, 2025 will be removed from the spring league and will be assessed the $500 late team withdrawal fee as well as forfeit their
$150 team commitment fee.
● Any team that is withdrawn WILL NOT be allowed to re-enter the league.
Referee Fees for League Games:
● Each coach is responsible for payment of half of the referee fee(s) before the start of the game. U14f, U16, U17 & U19 Boys/Girls in Div. I & 2 will be assigned 3 referees where possible

* U07/U08 - Referee $50 4-12 minute quarters (2 referees, each receives $50)
3-man referee assignments for Div. 1 and 2 U14 through U19 when possible.
**Note: CDYSL U8 games use the dual field method. CDYSL recommends each of the 4 vs 4 games be refereed by referees with minimum of Grade 9 classification.
*** Cooperstown and Oneonta areas of play ALWAYS have a 3-man system regardless of age/gender
● Reminders when Submitting a Request to Reschedule:
● All requests to reschedule games must be submitted via the on-line rescheduling form. The team submitting the request will be responsible for all rescheduling fees.
● The new date/time location must be agreed to by the opposing coach BEFORE submitting the request (times must follow CDYSL time slot guidelines)

** Note: Referee fees are only waived for Weather and Field Closures IF CDSYL is contacted prior to game time according to the field closure guidelines posted on the website and in the coaches’ guide under Referee Compensation. Failure to contact CDYSL will result in HOME team being charged half the referee fees for the game
NOTE: For Scoring purposes, Final determination of scores for standings (forfeit vs no play) will be decided after a Games Committee review
● Forfeit Declared with 11 or more full days advanced notice (game day does not count; therefore, a Sunday game would need to be cancelled/rescheduled by 2pm on Wednesday): $200.
● Forfeit Declared with 4 to 10 full days advanced notice (game day does not count; therefore, a Sunday game would need to be cancelled/rescheduled by 2pm on Wednesday): $200.
● Forfeit Declared with less than three full days advanced notice (game day does not count; therefore, a Sunday game would need to be cancelled/rescheduled by 2pm on Wednesday): $200 plus FULL referee fees.
● Team NO SHOW: $125 per game plus FULL referee fees for game, for scoring purposes the game will be charged a forfeit for standings and will not be allowed to be rescheduled
● If a team shows up, but cannot field a legal team, the game MAY be played as a friendly if both teams are agreeable. The offending team will be charged a $125 forfeit fee plus FULL referee fees. For scoring purposes, the game will be charged as a forfeit for standings and will not be allowed to be rescheduled.
Failure to file a Game Report Fines
● Both teams have an obligation to make sure game reports are filed and confirmed on-line within 4 days after a game is scheduled to be played. After 4 days, scores will be locked and teams must contact the league office to report scores and/or verify game status.
NOTE: Even though U8, U10 and U19 games are non-result oriented, teams are expected to file game reports to verify that the game was played and to report problems
● If neither team reports the game score and/or verify game status to CDYSL (including games played in NRO divisions) within 7 days of the scheduled game date BOTH teams will be fined$5 for failure to file a game report
● Final determination of scores for standings (forfeit vs no play) will be decided after a Games Committee review.
Failure of Club to Contact CDYSL regarding Field Closings:
$50 plus ½ Referee fees for 1st game(s) - May also result in game forfeiture fines
Failure to comply with League/State/National rules:
A. Forfeit(s) will be charged to offending team for each game where rules have not been abided
B. $50 fine per offense
